Who we are
This website, bataeco.com (“BATAECO”, “we”, “us”), is operated by BATA GROUP LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, which is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. You can reach us through the contact page.
What data we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address and message, used only to reply to you.
- Shop orders: your name, shipping address, email address and order details. Payments are handled by PayPal; we never see or store your card details. Orders are printed and shipped by Printful, which receives the details needed to deliver your order.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 collects information about how you use the site, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and shop events like viewing a product, adding it to the cart and completing a purchase. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4.
- Advertising: Google AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to show ads and measure their performance (see below).
- Technical data: our host (Hostinger) and our security and delivery network (Cloudflare) process IP addresses and request data in server logs to keep the site secure and fast.
Comments are closed on this site, so we do not collect comment data.
Why we use your data (legal bases)
- To fulfil orders and answer messages (performance of a contract, or steps you asked us to take).
- To keep the site secure and working (our legitimate interests).
- To measure traffic and show personalized ads (your consent, where the law requires it).
- To keep tax and accounting records for orders (legal obligation).
Cookies
We use cookies that are needed for the shop and cart to work, analytics cookies from Google Analytics, and advertising cookies from Google. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Who we share data with
We only share data with service providers that help us run the site: Hostinger (hosting), Cloudflare (security and delivery), Google (analytics and ads), PayPal (payments) and Printful (printing and shipping). We do not sell your personal information for money. Some of these providers process data outside the UK and EU; where they do, they rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
Messages are kept for up to two years. Order records are kept for as long as tax law requires, normally six years. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law, you can ask what personal information we collect, ask us to delete it, and opt out of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of personalized ads, use the Google Ads Settings link above. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EU), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
